Tiffin University’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Curtis B. Charles, Ph.D. as the successor to Dr. Paul Marion. Dr. Charles will be the fifth President of Tiffin University, which was founded in 1888. “Dr. Paul Marion has been an outstanding president for this University,” said Chair of the Board Claire Johansen. “He sets the bar very high for all of us. The entire University community participated in the search process and we are very excited Dr. Charles will be joining us to continue Tiffin University’s successful journey. This success is directly related to the strong leadership the school has had. In today’s world of higher education, it is unusual to have the continuous leadership that we have experienced from Dr. George Kidd who served the University for 21 years and Dr. Paul Marion who served for 13 years. Our new President is another strong leader. He is a visionary who is passionate about organizational effectiveness and student success and demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit of Tiffin University.” Johansen said.
